The company was established in 1996 by William Kent who had previously worked for many years as an Arborist (Climber) for a south east based company leading teams in local authority, Commercial and domestic contracts.
Mr Kent has spent 3 years studying arboriculture at Merrest Wood College and has passed the RFS Certificate in Arboriculture and the Arboricultural Association Technicians (theory) Certificate.
We now employ 6 full time arborists who are fully NPTC qualified and very experienced and 2 administrators. At W. J. Kent Tree Surgeons Ltd we pride ourselves on being a highly organised and motivated team and we are dedicated to providing expert arboricultural works to our clients from the first point of contact through to completed works. We are fully insured, we have £5m public liability and we are local council approved for your assurance.
At W. J. Kent Tree Surgeons Ltd we believe the current size of the company is ideal as we are large enough to undertake substantial contracts, but at the same time our business is small enough for us to offer the personal service and attention to detail desired by our clients.
Environmental Policy:
We have a very effective environmentally aware waste management system. All tree arisings up to 6 inches in diameter are chipped and the wood chip is either reused as a sustainable bio fuel or sold locally for garden mulch in bulk loads. All timber is either supplied to a local saw mill or sold as split firewood at our on site farm shop.
